Settings
Settings allow you to globally customize the Newlook user interface.
Changes made using Settings are application-wide however, screen-specific
changes made using Newlook's Designer may override these preferences. For more information on form overrides,
see the topic Working with the Forms Editor.
Newlook Smartclient Settings
You can configure the Newlook Smartclient by clicking the Settings (
) button in Newlook Developer.

Settings - specify the repository and Smartframe template used
by the project.
- Color Settings - change the default fonts and colors that Newlook uses to display graphical objects.
- Display Settings - configure scaling, form backgrounds and menu graphics for your project.
- Keyboard
Settings - customize keyboard settings according to your requirements.
- Command
Settings - store frequently used commands in command history.
- Preference
Settings - customize the Newlook
interface according to individual preferences. This section includes the
ability to: turn the splash screen off, disable confirmation screens,
enable status bar help, turn off combo-box auto complete and configure
the wait time for intermediate screens.
Newlook Smartclient user access to Settings and associated user preferences can be
configured in General Rules.
Newlook Server Settings
Changes you made to Settings in Newlook Developer are only applied to Newlook Smartclient.
Newlook Server has its own global settings. You can access Newlook Server Settings
by adding the suffix /Settings
to the end of your server instance URL (<server instance URL>/Settings
).
