ReferenceField Property

Gets or sets the referenced field name for fields associated with an external host file. Open Display Files-only.

Version Support

Introduced for Datagrid columns in Version 10.6.1.

Use

This property is only available for fields that have been created on Open Display File forms.

If the ReferenceField property is specified, a REFFLD keyword will be generated in the underlying DDS.

The reference field has the following format:

<RECORD-FORMAT-NAME>/<REFERENCED-FIELD-NAME> <LIBRARY-NAME>/<DATABASE-FILE-NAME>
