User Options

User Details

  • Author - Specify the default value used when creating Forms, macros or scripts. See also Change History.
  • Company - Specify the default company used when creating Forms, macros or scripts. See also Change History.

Browser options

Smartframe

  • Default URL - If the Smartframe URL in General Settings has not been manually set by the user then any new solution will use the path stored in this field as the default.
Note:

It is important to note that, from version 10.1.3 onwards, the value specified here does not determine the URL that will open when the Smartframe preview button is clicked, only the default for solutions with no user-specified URL. The Smartframe URL specified in General Settings determines the file that will open when Smartframe preview view is selected.

Newlook Server

An embedded version of Newlook Server is bundled with Newlook Developer, allowing you to preview your server solution as you work. You can launch the development server via one of the browser buttons in the toolbar or View menu. The following settings apply to the embedded server:

  • Port range start - Restrict use of ports to only those within the start and end range.
  • Port range end - Restrict use of ports to only those within the start and end range.
  • Random Port number - Assign a random port number to the connection.
  • Allow remote access - Allow remote access to the development server on this machine.
