Printer Properties
The Printer properties
window allows you to view information about the current printer session at runtime.
To open Printer properties, click the printer icon in the bottom-left corner
of the Runtime Client or Newlook Smartclient status bar (if enabled).
Printer tab
The Printer tab provides details about the active printer session.

- Printer- The printer queue defined in the current printer session.
- Message queue name - the qualified name of the message queue to which operational messages for this device are sent.
- Message queue library - the library name of the message queue to which operational messages for this device are sent.
- Host print transform - specifies whether the current connection has been configured to connect as a Host Print Transform (HPT) print device.
- Manufacturer, type, model - (HPT printer sessions only) the manufacturer, type, and model of the printer using the host print transform function.
- Font size - (HPT printer sessions only) the font size to be used for printed output.
- Form feed - (HPT printer sessions only) the form feed attachment used for this spooled file.
- Paper source 1 - (HPT printer sessions only) the type of paper used in paper source one.
- Paper source 2 - (HPT printer sessions only) the type of paper used in paper source two.
- Envelope - (HPT printer sessions only) the type of paper used in the third paper source.
- Code page 899 support - (HPT printer sessions only) indicates whether the printer has ASCII code page 899 installed.
- Workstation cust. name - (HPT printer sessions only) the qualified name of a work station customization object for the printer device.
- Workstation cust. library - (HPT printer sessions only) the library name of a work station customization object for the printer device.
Connection Tab
This tab is available in the Printer Properties window if you are currently connected to a live printer session. It provides the following information about the current connection:
- Name - the name of the current connection definition.
- Protocol - the current network protocol in use.
- Internet address - the TCP/IP address of the current connection.
- Port number - the destination port number on the host system.
- Device name - the printer device name used to connect to the host (if applicable).
- Screen Size - not applicable for printer connections.
- Locale - the locale defined for the connection.
- CCSID - the host coded character set identifier defined for the connection. This
value is used to transcode between the host character set and the Windows
character set.
