Datagrid cell selection

Newlook grids (GUI-based equivalents for subfiles) offer extended user support by simplifying the selection of grid rows prior to command selection.

Traditionally, if IBM i application users wanted to apply a subfile option to a large number of subfile data rows, the process would involve manually entering the appropriate number against all required rows. In Newlook's GUI environment, users can make use of numerous keyboard shortcuts to select one or more rows prior to applying the command option. User options include:

Enter the subfile option manually in each row manually. Similar to host screen functionality.
Right-click in each row and select the subfile option from the context menu.
Ctrl-click one or more rows, then right-click and select the subfile option.
Click and drag to select numerous rows, then right-click and select the subfile option.
