Using the Web Services Description Window

The Web Services Description window (or WSDL Browser) allows you to display information about a web service from its WSDL definition. WSDL is a standard used to describe web services in a vendor and platform independent manner.

The Web Services Description window can display the information in Simple or Advanced view.

Simple View

When viewing information about a web service, the Simple view provides the basic information required to use the web service. This includes the operations supported, their input arguments and the return type.

Advanced View

The Advanced view will also display extra information about the web service. The extra information includes details on addresses, ports, actions and encoding that is not normally required to use the service.
