The default setting is False.

Use

Material Design refers to Google's visual design framework. It is a set of design principles applied to all Google's properties and applications, providing a common look and feel.

When the MaterialDesign property of a Google chart is set to True, the charts will render according to the latest Material Design specifications. Note that these specifications are constantly being updated but setting this property to True will ensure that the latest standards are applied.
