Trace Action

Writes a line of text to the Newlook trace file (NEWLOOK.TRC).

If Newlook has not been started with the trace options enabled, then this statement does nothing.

Refer to Command Line Arguments for more information about enabling tracing in Newlook Smartclient.

To enable tracing in Newlook Server, contact the Newlook support team.

File - (Optional)

Specifies the full path name for the trace file. If left blank, the message is written out to Newlook’s own trace file.

Message - (Required)

Specifies the message that will be written to the trace file. To specify the message as an expression, prefix the message with an equals (=) sign.
